Zaaien Physoplexis Comosa

Beste mensen,

Als verse rotstuinkabouter en nog verser lid van het NRV/VRV-forum zit ik natuurlijk met een aantal vragen, zoals deze:

Gisteren heb ik zaad cadeau gekregen van de  Physoplexis Comosa, iets waar ik eigenlijk zelf al een hele poos achteraan zat.
Helaas kan ik nergens ontdekken hoe ik bij het zaaien te werk dien te gaan;
- is het bijvoorbeeld een lichtkiemer?
- periode van zaaien?
- koude-shock of niet?
- waar moet ik zéker op letten en/of rekening mee houden?
- etc. etc. ................

Kortom iedere informatie in deze zie ik volgaarne tegemoet,

Zelf heb ik P. comosa nog nooit gezaaid dus ik kan je niet met nuttige informatie overstelpen...
Ik ben er wel van overtuigd dat anderen hier dat wel zullen doen.  Alvast succes gewenst !  ;)

I have been growing P. comosa from seeds a few times. The seeds have always germinated within  6 weeks at about 20 degrees. No cold treatment was needed.  I transfer the seedlings to the greenhouse shortly after they have germinated. The seedlisng grow rather slowly so I keep them in a pot over the first winter, and transplant them to the rock garden the following spring.

In the meantime I've sent an email to Harry Jans (I found his site while searching the internet) and got all the answers!
Thanx anyway, So I'll hope you understand a little "Doubledutch" too?!?  ;D

Het zaaien van Physoplexis gaat als volgt.

1e proberen vers zaad te krijgen. Dat kiemt beter.

2e zaaien in gezeefde potgrond vermengd met scherp zand

3e na zaaien, zaden afdekken met dun laagje (2-3mm) kwartszand/filterzand

4e kieming vindt vaak pas plaats na de 2de vorst periode (dus vorst kiemers)

5e kiemplantjes het eerste jaar in de zaaipot laten, pas 2e jaar verspenen of direct oppotten

6e op kweken in half schaduw. Volwassen planten verdragen prima volle zon.

7e kleine plantjes doen het prima in tufsteen (soort travertin) en zaaien zich zelfs spontaan hierop uit.

Oh yes I can read Dutch,  but its easier for me to write English.. I see he says the seeds needs frost to germinate,, well they did without here.
