Very interesting to read this thread. I have been ordering seeds from the Czechs for many years, and last year I ordered quite a lot.
I had a look at the gernimating percetage for last year's sowing, counting how many species have greminated, not the amout of seeds germinated:
Piatek 77%
Holubec 57%
Pavelka 76%
Jurasek 74%
Now I of course expect some more species to germinate in the comig spring.
As for ordering old seeds, I have found that many species greminate well even if they are 1 or 2 years old,,I here in particular think of Gentiana and Primula. But I alwyas concider the species before ordering old seed.
Guess I will order some seeds from the Czechs also this year, but not many, as I found there are very few new species on their lists this year.
