Tijdens het wieden kwam ik weer enkele Primula's tegen.

Vandaag op de gevoelige plaat vastgelegd, nieuwe instructies van Gerrit E. gekregen over het op het forum zetten van foto's, hopelijk zijn ze nu beter.
Primula wollastonii en Primula gemmifera ssp monantha, beiden in pot gekweekt.

Spring here in the north is very late this year. There is still snow in the hills and, and the mountains are all completely white. Only the last week we had the first days with themperatures above 10 degrees during day time.
Even so, more and more plants are starting to flower.. like this Primula sonchifolia., always the first Primula to flower in my garden.

Magnificent Magnar, how do you grow this Prim, soil, sun/shade, winterprotection? Do you think it can be grown in Holland with our hot summers?

De eerste bloei in zaailingen van wild verzamelde Primula fasciculata. Omwille van de vormen en kleuren hou ik deze planten eerst totdat ze gebleoid hebben om ze uit te selecteren.
Een prachtig klein primulaatje voor in de turf od peatbed, wel regelmatig scheuren.

In the wild Primula sonchifolia thrive in cool, damp places. I grow it in deep black compost which never dry completely out. It has sun most of the day, but sun in North Norway is not the same as sun in Belgia or Nederland. I give it no winter protection but the snow cover which usually, but not always, is good and reliable.  In general our climate is very good for Himalayan plants. I guess it might be difficult to grow in Nederland, but my garden philpsophy is: You never know until you have tried

Als Gert z'n werk goed gedaan heeft, zou dit Primula muscarioides moeten zijn, foto 2 het sterk "bemeelde" blad van dit soortje.

Edit: Bij nader inzien van Gert (zie antw. 421) gaat het hier om Pr. capitata var(of ssp) mooreana.

Vreselijk mooi Cor !!! 
Prachtig contrast tussen de geopende donkere bloemen en het zilverwitte meel op de knoppen : prachtig !

Als ik het goed begrijp Cor, heb jij deze P.muscarioides van Gert Hoek. Ik heb er ook een van hem, maar dan in het baby-stadium. Het is wel te hopen, want wat jij hebt is een super-zaailing. Ongelooflijk bemeeld met zilveren bladeren. Ik zag diverse mindere kloons op Google-pictures.

Klopt Gerrit, hij komt van Gert, ik heb hem begin dit jaar tijdens een NRV-lezing, z.g.n. kofferbak verkoop, bij hem gekocht. Vond hem, alleen al voor het blad, wel mooi.

Hey Bartus, ik had ze twee weken geleden allemaal gescheurd en dat vinden ze zo fijn dat bijna alle plantjes gaan bloeien, dus nu kanik ze uit selecteren
